North Banks Restaurant & Raw Bar
In the kitchen at North Banks Restaurant Raw Bar, they have a collection of individuals whose sole mission each day is to do their jobs with more skill and integrity than anyone else. North Banks is a locals favorite Corolla restaurant. The Portobello Mushroom Napoleon is served with goat cheese, basil pesto, marinated oven roasted tomatoes, balsamic reduction, and crispy fried kale.

Ike’s Bites ‘n More
Ike’s Bites ‘n More thinks low stress is as important as low fat, and high quality is as important as organic. Try the Ike’s Famous Mahi Tacos – but with Portobello Mushroom instead of Mahi. Served in two jumbo tortilla shells and topped with lettuce, salsa, mozzarella, cheddar cheese and a homemade remoulade. Also available with Beyond Vegan Beef Taco. Uncle Ike’s Sandbar and Grill
Uncle Ike’s is proudly one of the most popular, family-friendly, fun-driven restaurants in Corolla. The inspiration for their diverse menu items is comfort food done really well. they Then add a healthy OBX beach flair. Try the Beyond Burger, it’s amazingly delicious. 100% vegan, 100% gluten-free patty made from pea protein served with onion, spinach, and tomato.

The Paper Canoe
If you are visiting Duck or anywhere on the OBX, The Paper Canoe is a great dining experience for your vacation. Great food with a gorgeous view of the Currituck Sound. The Paper Canoe Ravioli is truly one of the best vegetarian plates. And for the pesco-vegetarian, the Wild Catch dish is served with pan-seared fish, vegetable couscous with asparagus, green onions, mushrooms and artichokes and vegetable pan sauce.
Fishbones Raw Bar & Restaurant

Located in the original—and splendidly restored—Caffey’s Inlet Life Saving Station No. 5, the Lifesaving Station is Sanderling’s casual, three-meal-a-day restaurant celebrating southern coastal cuisine and fresh regional products. The Lifesaving Station has a vegetarian main-course option, Roasted Vegetable Wellington. It involves marinated mushrooms, grilled summer squash, roasted vine ripe tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese in puff pastry, farro, and balsamic drizzle.

Located on the Soundside of the Sanderling Resort, Kimball’s Kitchen offers a glorious view of the Currituck Sound and its inspiring sunsets, outstanding service and a world-class menu. The Mushrooms and Gnocchi is an excellent options for vegetarians. It is parmesan gnocchi, black truffle puree, foraged mushrooms, and pickled shallots.

Village Table & Tavern
Brought to you by the team behind TRiO in Kitty Hawk. Village Table and Tavern is Duck’s newest casual waterfront dining destination. Village has vegetarian AND vegan options on their menu. The Hummus Plate is a yummy vegan appetizer. And as for a vegetarian dish, the Handheld Falafel in warm naan bread topped with tzatziki sauce, pickled red onion, cucumber, spinach and feta is an excellent choice.

Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant
Serving the OBX for over 20 years, Shun Xing is proud to serve locals and vacationers alike. Shun Xing has many vegetarian options from Buddhist Delight to Bean Curd Home Style. Vegetable Chow Mein, Vegetable Chop Suey, Vegetable Fried Rice to Vegetable Lo Mein. Vegetarians will have no trouble ordering something they would enjoy at Shun Xing Chinese Restaurant.

From the people behind Corolla Pizza, at Southern Shores Pizza, you will find the same great menu. The Gluten Free crust is Cauliflower Crust. The Vegetarian Pizza includes mushrooms, romas, onions, green peppers, & broccoli. Their Veggie Salad is a must! It has fried eggplant, artichokes, mushrooms, and mozzarella. AND not to mention their Eggplant Parmesan Sub.
Rundown Café
Over the years, the recipes at Rundown Café have developed into the eclectic blend of Pacific Rim and Caribbean fusion that represents their menu. They just like to call it “Island Food” simple, fresh, and hearty. The Rundown Noodle Bowls are something you won’t want to miss out on! There is a choice of 3 regional Asian inspired broths filled with noodles, vegetables, fresh herbs and corresponding accompaniments. There also is Oriental Sesame Noodles you can get without meat. It involves a chilled spicy blend of sesame & soy infused noodles. Tossed with hints of Asian flavors, mixed veggies, crushed peanuts and crowned with wonton crisps. And one last thing that Rundown has to offer is the Vegetarian Thali. It is a large platter of black beans & rice, hummus, fried eggplant, marinated cabbage, flat bread & condiments.

Argyle’s Restaurant has been an Outer Banks gem for over 25 years and prides themselves on being farm to table. They offer a variety of delicious, unique, and quality dishes with creative and surprising flavors that will please everyone in your party. Start with the Spice Roasted Sunchokes and Cauliflower with creamy tomato dipping sauce. Then indulge in a Veggie Burger topped with house made voodoo sauce or the Chefs Pasta Provencal.
Barefoot Bernie’s
The diverse menu at Barefoot Bernie’s blends together cuisines as varied as Asian and Caribbean, Mediterranean and down-home American with ease, using only the freshest ingredients. The specialize in a selection of dishes under 550 calories, called their Lean-A-Licious menu. The meatless option off of the Lean-A-Licious menu is the Quinoa Salad with dried cranberries, pecans, white cheddar cheese and a lemon vinaigrette.
Black Pelican Oceanfront Restaurant
Located across from the beach at Mile Post 4 in Kitty Hawk, Black Pelican was originally served as historic Lifesaving Station #6 which was constructed in 1874. Black Pelican has Marinated Grilled Portobello Mushrooms which come with gouda mashed potatoes topped with sautéed mushrooms, spinach, roasted tomatoes and feta cheese then finished with aged balsamic reductions. The menu also offers a Vegetarian Pasta with the freshest seasonal veggies and a tomato basil cream sauce.

For the vegetarian, Sanya Sushi Bar has a selection of Hibachi vegetables, Tofu dishes and Vegetable Curry – available in Green and Red Curry. The flavorful Tofu Teriyaki is lightly fried tofu served with vegetables and teriyaki sauce. Sanya even offers vegetarian sushi rolls. TRiO is all about simple pleasures, authentic flavors, and good times. They have crafted their menu to enhance the natural goodness of exceptional ingredients through simple preparations. The Quinoa Bowl has fresh avocado, roasted sweet potatoes and corn, cherry tomatoes, crispy speck, and quinoa on a bed of arugula. Finished with toasted pepitas and housemade chimichurri.

New to the Outer Banks food scene, Jack Brown’s OBX Beer & Burger joint offers more than 100 craft beers and an award-winning burger menu. A little secret about the menu at Jack Browns is that you can change any burger on the menu to a veggie patty or a black bean burger. There is no up charge and they always offer it! A favorite among locals and visitors for more than forty years, Miller’s Seafood and Steakhouse is about delicious southern cuisine in a casual family atmosphere infused with coastal flair. Miller’s is a family tradition for so many. For the vegetarian in your family there is the Vegetarian Style Pasta that comes with linguine noodles with your choice of sauce, topped with a seasonal mix of house vegetables.
American Pie
Voted best pizza and ice cream in the Taste of the Beach! American Pie sits on Highway 12 in Kill Devil Hills, just walking distance from many hotels, motels, cottages and of course the beach! American Pie provides both indoor and outdoor dining. For the veggie lovers, the Weed Easter Pizza comes with mushrooms, black olives, onions, and green peppers on top.
Fuji Japanese Steakhouse
As the Outer Banks’ only Japanese steakhouse, Fuji Japanese Steakhouse offers locals and tourists a taste of some of the most ancient and flavorful meals from Japan. Their sushi and hibachi chefs have trained for over 6 years to reach a level of skill that is highly advanced. Start with Age Tofu, lightly fried tofu with sauce, for an appetizer. Then for dinner, the Hibachi Vegetable. As for vegetarian sushi there is the California Roll (available in spicy) and the Avocado, Cucumber Roll.

Goombays is a casual place with tropical taste and maximum fun.. good days and good nights at Goombays Grille and Raw Bar in Kill Devil Hills. For more than 30 years, Thai Room Restaurant has been serving authentic Thai cuisine for dine-in and take-out. Luckys also offers a Veggie Cheesesteak – grilled onions, artichoke hearts, garlic, spinach, onions and peppers with choice of cheese.
Red Drum Grille & Taphouse
The service at the family-friendly Red Drum Taphouse restaurant will keep everyone in the family smiling, from children to adults. Red Drum offers a hearty fare in casual & relaxed atmosphere complemented by a great selection of 18 micro and domestic beers available in the taphouse to satisfy your thirst. Red Drum offers a marinated and grilled Portobello Sandwich topped with roasted red peppers, pesto and Havarti cheese. Served on local, fresh Focaccia bread.
